BRAIN DYNAMICS: THE PROCESS Brain Dynamics Santa Fe is powered by Brain State Conditioning™, a short-term process with long-lasting results, a whole-brain approach, which balances, harmonizes, and optimizes brain function. The brain is responsible for sustaining our consciousness, and every person's consciousness relates to the multiple realms of life – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual – in unique ways. Since each brain is like a fingerprint, it functions distinctively according to its design. With Brain State Conditioning™, the distinguishing qualities of each individual brain are honored and preserved. Founder, Lee Gerdes of Brain State Technologies, in Scottsdale, Arizona, was trained in computer sciences, math, physics, psychology, and theology. He has brought diverse disciplines together to develop this powerful tool called Brain State Conditioning™. An approach to brain training that uses advanced technology and the functional state of the entire human brain, not referring merely to a symptom, or a diagnosis. Convinced by his approach, he was joined by Dr. Robert Scaer and other trauma specialists. Brain State Conditioning™ uses direct measures of the brain’s electromagnetic energy, and optimizes the ratios of brain frequencies and amplitudes within an individual’s distinctive brain functions. The Dalai Lama provided the monks who became the original models of potential brain mastery -- the goal of Brain State Conditioning™. Brain activity is based on cells called neurons, which interact and connect with each other forming groups or neural-networks. Brain State Conditioning™ uses client goals, client history, assessment maps, brain activity ratios, training protocols, trainer observations, and client responses, to create a personalized training plan tailored to the individual’s brain activity ratios. This plan consists of a series of training protocols originating from the brain's functional state, providing auditory and visual feedback of real-time brain activity in the form of sounds (music) and visual images. Client feedback and trainer observations fine-tune the training session exercises to satisfy specific training goals. Self-regulation is the broad goal of effective Brain State Conditioning™. Targeted-solution training incorporates client visualization, deep relaxation, verbal associations, and affects multiple brain areas at the same time. A training session lasts from 1-2 hours, often done every day - intensity and momentum are important to stabilizing new neuro-networks. An entire series can be completed within only a few weeks. Adult clients usually recognize benefits within the first dozen hours, but may require some 50-60 sessions to make the benefits permanent. Children respond much faster. Adults with more serious conditions usually require more training.
